high school

with so much time on my hands, i decided to rummage through my old photo albums in my multiply account, as my media locker says i have 253 albums. (and i have 1003 blog entries. ROFL) it's hard to believe i have that many photos because it was just recently that i got my own camera. :) but i'd like to take a stroll down memory lane and post a few photos from my old multiply albums. :) teasing is allowed. LOL

this is how we usually are. a typical day back in our highschool days.
that's caj playing with her hair, and everyone else reading something. hahaha

because football was a sport unrecognized by our school, we didn't have a football varsity. until ben (the one beside me in pink headband) brought "becky" (the name of her football) to school. ever since then, we played football every lunch time in the highschool field. there were no goals, but we had goalees. we had teams. the whole lot. haha. we weren't in the proper attire so when the ball flies across the field, you'd see a black school shoe flying with it. HAHA.
this was the football varsity. the only one in the history of assumption-iloilo. haha
L-R: catt, ben, timee, mabel(with my shoe), anne, fiona, bionat, maan

before we became seniors, my friends pinky, ben, sha, kj, tecia and I auditioned for a musical on the life of Pope John Paul 2. the play was entitled LOLEK (that was the pope's nickname) and we met lotsa people as the cast was very huge. :) miss you lolek people!

me and my siblings back when we were much younger.
josh when he didn't have a girlfriend,
kaylle when lolo cut her bangs, thus the ugly hair,
sivney who didn't eat anything but chicken. HAHA
and a thinner me. boo.

ben, pinky, len, myka and i went to bora after graduation.
we fed the fish and went to another island to swim forever. hahahaha
i want a tan!!!

rehearsals for our El Filibusterismo play entitled LA VUELTA. :)
i miss highschool plays. :) back when there was no budget, and the class treasurer would go around every silence period to collect for class funds.. lol.

Vespers. :) the seniors always had to wear their gala uniforms during important masses.
i love this shot. :)

KAPATIRAN Day 1: Eco Day
The Kapatiran is one of the most awaited events of the year in the hs community. it's where the the seniors (mommies) are paired with a freshman(babies) each. there are activities everyday for the seniors to welcome the freshies! hahahah. it's also an excuse for us to play dress-up without anyone telling us how silly we look. :)

CAT class. :)
i've always liked CAT classes. because?

i was an officer! hahahahahaha!
anabel, catt, myka(covered), cyndi, timee, len, mac, pinky, lulu!

seniors' immersion and retreat! :) we went to guimaras and spent a day with an aeta family! :) it was also my first time to ride at the back of a motorcycle! hahah. our aeta family was lovely. :)

Mary Song Writing contest. :) the whole batch wrote a song for Mary and competed against the other batches. :) we only won first runner up though. but we enjoyed! :)
this is a photo of the musicians of the song writing contest. the singers were in the center of the stage. haha. more pictures in our multiply account!

For our English play, my section staged our own version/adaptation of TROY. it was dubbed as SCAR OF TROY. :) i love the costumes here. considering we didn't have money to fund our plays. :) that's hector and paris stopped by the temple guards. :)

and this is the body of hector which achilles dragged around the walls of troy.
this was actually a funny scene. HAHAHA. maliz was heavy, and it was hard dragging her around, but loi kept her cool. hahaha

the last play i directed and wrote in highschool. :) intense researching on the history of Assumption-Iloilo. :) the play was entitled MEMORIAS DE LA ASUNCION. :)
it was hard because we had two plays at the same time, and the director for The Scar of Troy was my lead actress, shinette. :) and there were lots of actors in SOT who were also in my play. but we pulled it off! and i must say, we did well! both plays were awarded best plays! and lots of other awards. weeh!

we did GK too! :) our GK work was the monday after our seniors' night (prom-ish) so that it was okay for us to be dark, dirty and ugly. hahahaha

me and the rest of the yearbook staffers had to leave GK early because we had work. :)

it's always so surprising for me when i hear other people talk about their highschool. they have 10++ sections per batch, and they're about 400-500 per year level. back when we were seniors, we were all jampacked into two sections of 51 students each, that's 102 seniors. :) we all knew each other, and we were all friends. :) i miss HS. :)

(dance)
and if you ask me which is the best, i wouldn't have an answer. because i think highschool and college are incomparable. :) both are fun and memorable in different ways. :) i know i'll miss college as much as i miss highschool. :)
