i'm still on a high.

i cannot understand, but i'm really afraid that all of this is gonna turn around very soon. i've also given IT a lot of thinking, and my resolution is that: i should not think about it further. because everytime i do, so many thoughts race through my mind, my head starts to hurt and my heart beats faster. i try so hard to understand all of this, but i think that point of all of this is that...

the more you try to understand, or make sense of things, the more it becomes harder and harder to understand.

so i shall not try to understand it.
i won't even question anything.

i'm on drugs.

emotional drugs. this is weird. i know i'm the happy-whatever-goes person, but i'm so afraid that all of this is gonna turn around pretty soon. i'm trying not to think about that, because i'm going to enjoy being on a high. :)

meanwhile, whilst enjoying this blissful frenzy, i had almost forgotten that i have a million things piled up on my to-do list.

here's my schedule next week:
saturday:
nstp in the morning (rehearsals)
artistic meeting for newbie production
the overnight acting workshop
sunday:
overnight acting workshop
monday:
italian long test
pass draft of thesis chapter 1
tuesday:
abnormal psych long test
wednesday:
yearbook photoshoot. GAAHHHD.

can i explain what i have been doing for the past week.
i couldn't get over the fact that after my last class, i didn't have anything to do. i wasn't used to go home at around 430 and not doing anything until 10. because that was how it used to be during henerala. everything started from 430 and ended till around 11. but now that it's over, i have so much time on my hands, i don't know what to do with it. to add to that, for some strange reason, it has been raining freecuts this week. usually my TTH classes are the worst days of my life because my only break for the day is from 1030-12. but this week, my theo teacher is somewhere and our thesis adviser is in melbourne. today, my italian teacher isn't around, so he gave us a freecut.

so.
monday, i practically sat and stared, wondered what to do. so i just jogged.
tuesday, drank with ate vir, lei and pao.
wednesday, shakeys with enta and drowned my hulabaloo in the arcade,
thursday, watched ice age 3 with ate vir, lei, kate and pao.

this is like jetlag. not knowing how to adjust to time, trying to adjust to going home at 430 and try to do other things than bum around. i have to get back to studying, and doing thesis and etc.

yesterday, we were in eastwood and found ourselves listening and watching to kris lawrence on stage. loved the song "i'll make love to you..." hehehe. he asked the crowd, "is anyone here in love??"

more than anyone else in the crowd, i knew i was. :)

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

*disclaimer: spoiler alert. don't read if you haven't seen HP.

harry potter died. kiddddddd. HAHA.

so yesterday, we watched Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. I'm a very frustrated HP reader/fan because i stopped at 4 and TRIED to continue reading the 5th. i read the 5th book around 5 times too, but i never got past the first 2 pages. Partly, it IS my fault because i have become a tamad reader myself. Perhaps the last book i've read because i WANTED to read it and not that it was a requirement was Dan Brown's ANGELS AND DEMONS a few years after it came out. I was in 3rd year HS then. I'm a senior college student now. :D

first of all, this is def a cutie. hihihi

my second reaction is that HARRY POTTER has been uberly commercialized. it's frustrating. how? as i could remember, HP was okay for kids, for the teenie weenies and the kids at heart. i loved the first book, and even the second. the third, can't remember much. the fourth, well yes because cedric diggory was there (loved him even before he became a vampire). well the fourth, i couldn't put down the book. it was my favorite among all. the first one too. but i think through the years, as JK wrote the following books, she got even more pressured because people wanted to know what happened next. The movie producers wanted more from this frenzy. so she wrote, ewan. i just know, something got lost along the way. to put it shortly, i think the books that followed were written because of money, fame and all that jazz.

what is disappointing is that HP6 has become a dark one. it has shifted from a magical child-friendly tale to a dark, depressing scenes of the story just flashing by us. i couldn't even put together the scenes from HP6. maybe because i haven't read the book, i couldn't just understand what was going on and where these people are coming from. i have a strong feeling the movie has failed the book, but that's the case most of the time. HP6 FOR ME (don't fight me. haha), was just like a 3D VIEW FINDER.
scenes flashing by me. pfft. (oh and the movie theater smelled like bagoong. eek. )

one more thing, you know that feeling where this movie puts you up to this level of hypeness and then it suddenly presents you with all the information you've been asking right from the start, and it relieves you in the end? (think Da Vinci Code, well for me.) WELL. Harry Potter did not bring me up there to that level. Yes, it kept me wanting for more so that i could understand. But even the death of Dumbledore wasn't at all that dramatic. He died, Avada Kedavra, The end. after the death, i still was waiting for more. But no. nada. and it ended while we were still up there waiting for more. BITIN. in all the wrong places. booooo.

there. so i give HP6 2 stars. :D

lately.

so what have i been up to for the past few weeks? i realized, i haven't blogged for some time now. and actually, these past few days, i've been doing a lot of thinking. i love philo. gash. :D buddhism IS interesting. :D it makes me think about ALL THE PEOPLE in the world and how we all have different worlds of our own. wonder if there's such a tandem as buddhism+psychology. it would just give people a clearer picture. psychology is so much of a science, and buddhism is another something something. :D wooh. :D

so lately, i've been busy prancing around. during my first week of classes, i was super busy with school and org work. every hour counted. every break or free time counted. i didn't waste any time. but lately, i've been having breaks wherein i don't know what to do or how i'm going to spend it. just like first year. :D and i'm glad i'm having these breaks now, because i need them. :D

so the major thing that has been eating up my time is ANG HENERALA. :D It's directed by our very dear moderator, Sir Jethro Tenorio. :D Dolly and I are Asst. Directors for this play! :D hihi.
Dolly and I with Sir Jet! :D there's something super wrong with this picture. HAHAHAHA ano po yon sir jet? :D

just last saturday was our gala night, and that show was by far our best show ever. :D we got an A for that show!! weewoo! :D now there's more pressure for us because we have to get straight As this week. anything lower than an A would mean it's a failure. so let's do this guyzzz!!!!! Atty. Nicolas Pichay, the playwright, watched last Saturday! :D HIHI. :D

so anyway, if you guys want to know why there are picture frames and why there are people behind the frames throughout the play... and if you have any more questions regarding the play, ENTABLADO has an ED SESSION by Sir Gus Rodriguez on July 20, 430-6pm venue still TBA. :D so please go, especially if you're going to do papers on the play. it will be super helpful!! :D if you want to know the venue, just text Danica Pasia 09218415263!

other than henerala, i have other ENTA stuff too. it super looks like i'm BACHELOR OF ARTS MAJOR IN ENTABLADO. but okay lang. :D i'm enjoying it noh. :D Last week, we welcomed 105 newbies into the organization! WOOH! i hope these people are the people i will be seeing till the end of the year. WALANG BIBITAW GUYS. (right david? HAHA) i'm so excited. :D we had our BORLOG, or our BASIC ORIENTATION SEMINAR and BILOG. it's our version of our very first general assembly, only funner. :D hahah.
Familia Zaragoza shot

sir jet welcomed the newbies into the organization, danica gave them a bit of a background and introduced the EB, the season and its major projects... and then we split everyone into their committees and bonded with the members. and the rest was super fun. we did THE AMAZING PRODUCTION RACE featuring ANG MGA LARUANG PUSO. this "borlog original" by Kuya Martin Malabanan has been used by 6 generations of newbies! it was made just for the BORLOG. The newbies were split into 3 groups, and in an hour, they have to produce a play complete with costumes, promotions, props and stuff. :D wooh. :D

group 3's version of ANG MGA LARUANG PUSO

Cassandra and Barbara. HEHE

i'm almost done with all the formations projects for this semester. :D sportsfest, OMGA, recweek, auditions and BORLOG. WOOH. major projects for my committee. whew!!!!

and of course, lately, it has been a kilig week. :D ever since July6 monday. up until now. thre's this kilig event EVERY DAY. hihihiihihihihihihihih. and i'm looking forward to July18. :D HEHEHEHE. yon lang. masaya ako. :D :D :D

i heart ENTA. i don't know why, i just do. and maybe it's like this in every org, different for every student. But it's different here. i AM biased because i know and i have EXPERIENCED enta. :) and i want every Atenean to experience ENTA too. i want them to know how it feels to be in ENTA. :D i hope every ENTAdir shares the same sentiment. :D

plague.

i've never seen illness spread like this. bongga. i can count the people who aren't sick right now. yesterday in our abnormal psych class, sir davis was looking for half of the class. probably they are on quarantine. same with our theo class. imagine the hulabaloo in the infirmary. i just hope that everyone is okay and will be better soon. i don't know how people can continue to prevent this plague. the school has taken measures on the recent H1N1 pandemic by forcing self-quarantine on students, putting hand sanitizers everywhere around the campus, by selling face masks in school, putting up tarpaulins with information about H1N1, creating a moratorium on large gathers (500 or more people). but still, there are people getting sick.

right now, we're staging Nicolas Pichay's ANG HENERALA here in the RMT. and we're always on red alert because anytime someone calls in sick, we have to find people to take the sick person's place. even the people in the tech booth, even our production manager, our stage managers. sigh. and before you enter the rehearsal room in the theater, you will see this sign on the door:

inside the RR, there's a list of people who are on sir jet's watchlist. haha. they're not supposed to be seen anywhere around rmt unless they have fully recovered. :)

so yeah. :) i'm going onstage again tonight as jedyne because she's sick. :) and I AM GOING TO REDEEM MYSELF TONIGHT. whatever happened last night, that's over now. i have moved on. NOW I AM GOING TO REDEEM MYSELF. :) :) :)

on a lighter note!!!!!
hihihihi. HEHE.
Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. :) :) :)

hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
