Polly Pocket!

spoiler alert!! for kids 16 and below, do not read this, or it will ruin your Christmas! hahaha

I so remember the Christmas I started doubting Santa's existence. I was in Toy Kingdom and I really wanted this Polly Pocket pencil case with an apartment inside, and the little Polly figurine.

My parents wouldn't buy me one, and they wouldn't give me a reason why. They just kept giving me other toys "how about this? how about this?" but I didn't want anything else. I wanted the pencil case. I left the store, crying, because I did not get what I wanted for Christmas.

Come Christmas morning, Santa left a gift for me by the tree. True enough, it was the Polly Pocket Pencil Case that I cried for in Toy Kingdom. at first, I said "omg Santa was there?! he heard me?" then I put two and two together, and figured it all out.

The point is, I want this for Christmas. and because this isn't available anywhere anymore, I am begging for a Santa to send it to my doorstep anytime this year. It's on ebay, but i don't know how I can purchase it. (not ebay philippines ha)

here's the link and it' a Vintage Polly Pocket Bluebird Apartment Pencil Box Case Compact

Zia Quizon's "Simple Girl"
I rarely have a liking for opm artists because they all sound the same to me. (except for mymp, freestyle and kyla maybe) But i have never been sooooo amazed till I heard Zia Quizon sing. I first saw her music video on myx and said "Who's this? She sounds like an international artist!" So proud of Zia! Making a name of her own in the industry! I don't want to steal from her, so i'm going to wait for someone to BUY me an ORIGINAL copy of her album!! :) (if you're wondering, yes she has 6 songs lang for that album hehehehe)

Kota Kinabalu DAY 1!

So why on earth did we go to Kota Kinabalu?! 2 words. SEAT SALE. haha and remember last year how i wanted to go away to this unfamiliar place no one knew where, a place with a weird name, and KK was on top of my list. I asked my parents if I could go there ALONE for my birthday and they said no. WELL WELL WELL TOWEL!!! We, Dolly and I, finally went to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia! yiheeyyyy!!

We arrived at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport around 6 in the evening. The flight was only around an hour and a half, felt even shorter--- or maybe we were just excited. :) We had our money exchanged----

We got to our hotel, which i booked online, and it turned out really nice! The hotel was nice! Location wise, it was at the center of the city, and it was right in front of the night market! Super friendly staff and the lobby, the rooms, hallways were pretty clean. It was a very comfy accommodation for us!

Watched some Malaysian soap before going out for dinner. So I did some research since we were on backpacking mode, and found restaurants and places to go and eat. On our first night, we headed to the Waterfront--no not the popular chain of hotels, literally, water-front. It was like Bora, only, overlooking THE FREAKING SOUTH CHINA SEA! hahaha! There were restaurants along the Waterfront, including Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, which unfortunately was closed. So we ended up eating at the biggest restaurant, Port View restaurant, kowloon vibe. haha.

We were in luck-- there was a cultural show that night (or i think they do this every night haha) and there was a vacant table. We ordered crab and corn soup, knorr style HAHA and DEER! We ate deer!!!!

We got billed for the wet towels and the chinese tea we didn't ask for. When we asked for water, the manager said "why? you don like chinese tea?" haha yes, we appreciate your chinese tea but we prefer water. hhahah anyway. It was our most expensive meal throughout our trip. :)

We went around the rest of the Waterfront, there were more restaurants and foreigners. I was craving for cake. There was Starbucks but we didn't check it out. We came all the way to Malaysia just to drink the same coffee? waley. So we went around Warisan Square which was just behind Waterfront, it was a mall with foreign brands like Roxy, Body Shop, etc. and then we saw this:

Yes, we came all the way to Malaysia to try their Flavor of the Month: Milo Supreme Mcflurry!! hahaha

IT WAS DELISHHHH!!!! :) Why didn't we have that here?!!!! haha

After dessert, we went back to the hotel, checked out the night market, met Filipinos selling us shades and we asked for a huge discount. Like from 35 Ringgit, Dolly got his sunnies for just 20 Ringgit. haha! We got to bed early because we kindof knew that buses to Kinabalu Park left super early. So we slept early.
