first, i'm really really sorry for not accomplishing everything right. i'm sorry if it wasn't as bongga as my project proposal. i'm sorry if i didn't have a matino plan B. i'm sorry for not having milo. i'm sorry for having lesser runners, i believe some backed out because of the rain. i'm sorry kasi konti lang yung kids na pumunta. i'm really sorry.
second, i'm just half sorry. because kahit hindi bonggang bongga yung no speed limit this year, naging maayos rin sha from promotions, sign ups, NSL kits. i mean, in terms of pre-project. :) half sorry because my not matinong plan B (which was MORO) did JUST FINE! :) it was okay naman diba?! :) half sorry because kahit umulan, MAY RUNNERS PA RIN NA DUMADATING kahit 6pm na. we offered to fetch them anywhere in the university, but no. pumunta sila on their own. WE GOT RUNNERS who truly care. oh ha. hahaha. half sorry kasi HINDI TAYO NAUBUSAN NG LAP MARKERS YO!!!!! HELLO!!!! 1MILLION ATA GINAWA NAMIN last night!!!! HAHAHAHA half sorry because if ever nagka milo, i don't think papayagan tayo ng moro to set up a milo stall in their territory. (feeling ko lang. or i'm just justifying it. haha!) okay kaya yung tubig. (thank you dom and lando!) half sorry because THE KIDS ENJOYED NO SPEED LIMIT. swear.
point ko, even if it wasn't ALL THAT, it was maayos, even though it rained, even though OSA and OAS took us too long, even though i juggled it with unang baboy sa langit (don't get me wrong, kahit tatlong plays pa, kakayanin ko ang NSL! haha).
i OWE THAT ALL TO MY COMMITTEE HEADS! promise. they're the best.

i remember my very first NSL. it was then called FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET.
gelo was the project head. their lap markers were yarn bracelets. around the middle of the funrun, naubusan, so someone at the lap marker took down the names of those who passed by. they figured this didn't really work, so they had this kacha pinned to your shirt sa likod, and then everytime you passed by the lap marker, they'd put a mark on the kacha. the kacha is still with me now.
and a few years later, i become the head of the project of that kacha thingy. it's just overwhelming that it's all over now. i'm done. i remember what i felt a few hours before. i had a coup d 'etat happening in my mind, a riot. i wanted to cry because it was still raining at 3:30pm. but i figured it wouldn't change anything. i felt like i had used all my brain cells into thinking about plan Bs, plan Cs, Ds and Es. it was crazy. but thank God, i never felt alone. i never felt that i was all on my own. sabi nga ni lei around 11:30 when it started to rain, "ang buhay ng NO SPEED LIMIT ay nakasalalay sayo!" but i don't think so. kasi we were a TEAM. sobrang galing. goodjob talaga. i cannot think of a better team. :) GO NO SPEED LIMIT 09!!!!
finally, i can breathe. ilang beses ko talagang inulit right after the last person had his pledge form checked, "yes, tapos na!" the event i've been waiting for all year, is finally done. i cannot believe we all did it. WWOOOHH.
thank you everyone. it was great working with you. i'm sorry for all my shortcomings. i hope i can bawi. :) nevertheless, thank you. sobra.
(gusto kong i-express kung gano ko ka hate yung ulan. of all days talaga. of all days. isipin mo i had chairs reserved from osa, went all the way to the physical plant in blue eagle para mgcoordinate tungkol sa security and traffic, dom rented tents from ama, via begged mats from those who lent theirs nung speed dating. we just had so much prepared. waley. rain waley. ) pero okay lang. KERI NAMIN. :)
