wishlist!

because it's christmas, the only time of the year to be excusably materialistic, here's my wishlist. i try to attain as much as i can. here was my 2008 wishlist. i now have the magic 8 ball, i HAD the dogtag but i lost it in the middle of the year haha, i got the external hard drive instead of an internal one, anything that's carebear well that's taken cared of, and i get cheese all the time. (i got 2 quezo de bolas last year, all to myself. bwaha) i may not have gotten everything i wanted, but that's okay because according to books i've read, we don't really get everything we want. haha

this year, i have a new wishlist! :)
1. Teneues 2010 Audrey Hepburn Planner -- DONE! (i got a different one though)
this is the first thing i'm getting in fullybooked. after weeks of planner hunting, deciding whether i should get the starbucks planner or This Journal Will Actually Change Your Life. And then on ate vir's blog, i saw jose talking about teneues so i decided to check it out in fullybooked. and when i saw audrey hepburn, with pages of george clooney and the like (!!) inside the planner, i knew it was the one.

this is not how the planner looks like, i couldn't find the exact photo of the one i liked. :) but it looks like this, pop art-y kind of cover. :) yeeh! i'm excited. :)

2. Architecture of Happiness by Alain de Botton
preferably THIS COVER. :) i found it on 500 days of summer, and searched for a review/summary online and saw this:
Bestselling author Alain de Botton has written about love, travel, status and how philosophy can console us. Now he turns his attention to one of our most intense but often hidden love affairs: with our houses and their furnishings. He asks: What makes a house truly beautiful? Why are many new houses so ugly? Why do we argue so bitterly about sofas and pictures and can differences of taste ever be satisfactorily resolved? Will minimalism make us happier than ornaments? To answer these questions and many more, de Botton looks at buildings across the world, from medieval wooden huts to modern skyscrapers; he examines sofas and cathedrals, tea sets and office complexes, and teases out a host of often surprising philosophical insights. The Architecture of Happiness will take you on a beguiling tour through the history and psychology of architecture and interior design, and will forever alter your relationship with buildings. It will change the way you look at your current home and help you make the right decisions about your next one.
from here

i'm definitely getting this for someone, but i want a copy for myself too! i remember penny and i having a conversation about architectural psychology, and if there was such a thing. haha. there was, except that it's more popularly known as environmental psychology, and architectural psychology is a branch under it. :) basically, it deals with how structures affect a person's psyche. i don't think it's offered here in the philippines. not even for MA programs in UST or UP. but super interesting. :)

3. slippers.
it's about time that i get myself new slippers. i was never a closed-shoe or a heels girl. iloved the havaianas wonderwoman slippers the moment i saw it. i don't think it's available here though. daddyy!!!!

that's all for now, will update soon!

update!
4. shot glasses
i just woke up this morning and had this crazy idea of making jello shots. no, i won't be drinking forever once i get a hold of these shot glasses. i just want to own a set. update: maybe you can give me a jello shot gift package. hahahaha. wrap it like it's a mass offering or something. HAHA. jello plus vodka and little plastic shot glasses. hihi.
update update!
5. make up!
BAHALA KA! :) hahahahaha. kahit ano! i'm trying to put up (put up!? business ba ito! HAHA) my own make up kit, so please support! (business?! HAHA) last year, i was planning to collect the philosophy lip glosses, but it was a FAIL. i still want them! :)
6. barbie!
dunno why, but i want one. hahaha okay whatever, maybe not the doll, but whatever barbie that i can use. HAHAHAHA.
7. Lisa Frank stuvz.
did i mention this in my last year's wishlist? hahaha. BAHALA KA DIN! hahaha. anything will make me happy. :) :) maybe a purse. because i need a purse. HAHAHA
8. Tequila Rose
HAHA. can i make a tequila rose jello shot? kadiri ba yun? pero mukhang masarap. at sobrang sweet. hihi.
9. Gift Certificate to a SPA or something that will free me from stress. haha
because i get sick when i'm stressed, thus i cannot be in a state of stress. HAHA. stresstabs if you want, but i don't think it works for me. hahaha.

10. Skinfood nail polish
the purple one specifically. but i also want a pink one. as in yung parang TODO PINK. like the picture below. or TODO PURPLE. HAHAHAHAHA.

that's all for now! :)

update 12/20
11. THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

How did i discover this book? I wanted to get THIS DIARY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE because it was a pretty planner last 2009, and i thought it would be prettier this year. but i guess they didn't make one this year because this was all i found. (there's 'this journal will actually change your life' but i don't like it) and nakakatuwa siya!! Jame Say gave me a P300 GC from fullybooked. but i'm still thinking if i want to get the architecture of happiness. :)

I LOVE TWENTY! birthweek!

blogging live from this leong hall talk on climate change. i was late so i really don't know what he's talking about now. and this is 2 hours, so i'm going to make good use of this free time. FREE TIME?! HAHA

NOV9
around 11:30, i was just in the dorm wanting to sleep already, when my good friend virlynn ramirez called me and said "TARA(no pun intended HAHA) salubungin natin birthday mo!" so i said yes, and waited for her at mcdo. then she said, "let's go to kopiroti nalang, i'm craving for a milo dinosaur" i was too, so i said yay. we did a quick stop over at Shell because ate vir wanted to go to the cr. you might already know where this is going. hahah
when we arrived in kopiroti, my friends leinard, kate, paolo and sir jet were waiting for me with this: my birthday eggs, milk&choco toast (fave!) and milo dinosaur!! (fave!)
they said, since i was allergic to eggs, i'll have these eggs forever. HAHA.
paolo's everyday timee
kate's kilig timee
ate vir's party timee
leinard's futuristic timee
sir jet's drunk timee

(lei isn't in the picture because he took it!) thank you friends! that was a funny and surprising birthday! hahaha thank you for our surprise guest, bobby andrews, who was there that night. bwahaha!

nov10
wore this white dress to school that day, and paolo told me "nagpapaka-santa ka ngayon ah" uhm. so yeah, gar kept telling everyone it was my birthday. hahaha. thank you garnet. hahaha. it was a tuesday so my day was pretty much busy. did loadrev to get in a polsci class, arg.
gar and lei surprised me with starbucks' molten cake, banoffee pie & that toffee nut drink. haha
love you leious copernicus!!

love you garnetz!

and then that night we went to QR to drink with some friends! :)

nov11, all i did was finish my loadrev, went to theo class and that's it. haha. i think. can't remember na. fast forward to

nov12.
this is what you get when you don't have the same classes together. sobrang ingay, sobrang madaming kwento, sobrang saya. HAHAHAHA. i love lei and gar! :)
no, this picture wasn't taken during my birthday dinner, this was taken during our spontaneous trip to tagaytay. yung may sakit ako. wooh

i treated them to MoMo, a restaurant in the new eastwood mall. SOBRANG SARAP. please try their parang pesto cheese jalapeno sticks, parang ganon. bsta. i'm a sucker for cheese, i'll eat anything, even jalapeno, basta may cheese! we ordered the slow something beef something, basta may slow. it was masaraaaap! and also the salmon, their salmon is gooood. :) oh and go get their iced tea, saraap. the cherry on top of our dinner was dessert. we ordered this chocnut cake called verona (if i remember it correctly), nagulat kami sa price pero okay lang if you wanna splurge on just a cake, haaha, and the BUBBLEGUM CUPCAKE. my favorite. :) bubblegum icing topped with gummy worms and gummy bears. super cute, super sarap.
mukha akong stressed at may sakit sa picture na yan, don't make pansin nalang. that's the bubblegum cupcake, it's a masaraaap. :)

nov13...
friday the 13th! i slept at around 330am and woke up at 4am for The Manila Forum with guest speaker Hillary Clinton. call time was 4:30 am, and we arrived UST at around 6am. the forum was interesting, we were like wowowee contestants, practicing our cheers and claps and etc. but most of the time i was trying to keep myself AWAKE, holding both my eyes open. hahahah miss minchin (clinton's mignon who looked like miss minchin from princess sarah) saw me doing that and laughed at me. haha. scary.
i was a bit disappointed, especially at MARIA RHESA (this tv reporter from abs-cbn). i have no issues with ust asking more questions than any other school did, that was fine. but this MARIA RHESA ASKED A LOT OF QUESTIONS. we had delegates on stage which THEY COULD'VE CALLED TO ASK QUESTIONS TO THE MADAME CLINTON. kakairita. to add insult to injury (ohh meh ganon) , the representative from ateneo who asked hillary was Chris Tiu. i don't care if chris wants to ask about sports, PERO KASI SA DINAMIDAMI NG STUDENTS NA PINADALA FROM ATENEO, BAKIT SI CHRIS TIU NA GRADUATE NA!!!!!! Gio Tingson, Ken Abante and a lot more, who were more representative of the PRESENT ateneo population were on stage, and we knew they have prepared questions for the state secretary. TAPOS. WIZ. naiirita lang ako.

GALIT?? GALIT?!?! HAHAHAHHAHAA. but the whole time i was hyper. talking nonstop, etc etc. we watched paranormal activity in ellein's condo, ate corned tuna, and then went to the script reading. haha.

oh and thank you paolo for the pixy sticks. hahah

i love how this week went! :) so far, i'm loving being 20. seriously, i feel like a 13 year old. so playful, so free flowing, so whatever. :) thank you to everyone who greeted! :) thank you to my family and friends. :) weeh!

wanna know how it feels TO BE EATEN ALIVE?!?!?

this fish definitely knows.

Chinese chefs have found a way to fry a fish without even killing it. NAKAKAIYAK. I know we eat fish, BUT THIS IS SICK. FRIGGIN SICK. Watch it.

Makes you think about eating fish noh? (or maybe not.) kasi ako, i wouldn't want to eat something with a face with THIS IMAGE IN MIND. :((

If the fish had something to say, it would definitely go like this:
"PPOOOOHHHTTAAAANNGGG INNNAAAAAA NIIIINNNNNYYYOOOOOO"
while having a hard time breathing his last few breaths. TAPOS PEOPLE ARE LAUGHING AT HIM PA. GAHD.

Yes, we CAN eat fish. we NORMALLY EAT FISH. It has been that way forever. BUT DO YOU REALLY NEED TO TORTURE A FISH, AND SEE HIM SUFFER LIKE THAT BEFORE YOU FEAST ON HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sakfhmasclfhasujkehsikncfhsdjafhgs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd like to think i'm an animal rights advocate at this moment. no fish has to suffer like that.
LEAVE THE FISH ALONE!!!! (chris crocker is that you. hehe)
